That's some good information, but there still aren't any db levels. I tried wearing ear plugs on the way home yesterday. You can still hear what you need to hear, but all the other noise is almost gone. It is more pleasant, but will take a little getting used to. Also if any of y'all are looking for ear plugs, home depot sells them in bulk and you can get them from safety supply places on the web in bulk. That may save you a little money if your wearing them that often.

Thanks for posting that link Racer X...

if you plan to ride for a long time, you really need to start wearing them........talk to an old skool rider , and he'll be hard of hearing. hearing loss is very subtle and you don't notice it.......then 1 day you realize, you can't hear .

any feedback from new users?

found some 33db ones at CVS, and they have a bigger piece at the end, so it seals out wind noise better......howard leight, just solid orange.

I wear plugs almost anytime I ride, cuts wind noise and I can actually hear better what's going on around me. Nowadays I buy them by the case from Graingers. I keep one in the trailer and one at the house.

I've been wearing them here and there. I didn't realize how much I listen to the bike when I'm riding. I've had to make some adjustments there. Just have to get in the habit of using them all the time.
