Same here. Actually I think the way my plate is they can't get a pic of it and my tag rarely reads. I think I get charged for maybe 1/4 the time I actually use it. Oh well. Not my fault their tag is a piece of chit. Ol lady at the desk said it would read just fine in my jacket pocket, never does.

when I picked it up they said it could be left in jacket pocket, ect...however its very annoying when your trying to enter the beltway and have to stop because it won't read the tag, back up some waving it in the air and then scrambling to put it away before the gate goes back down....this has happened everytime and will probably be receiving notices for it not recognizing passing through the ez lane.

I actually saw this on "Mythbusters" a while back and it was a myth. They tried to "out-run" the camera at high speeds and the camera worked every time. Someone I know tried this on the beltway a couple of years ago and the pic that they sent in the mail was clear as day. I never knew about the white line thing... may have to check that out.

lol don't know what toll road you've been on but my roommate travels through 4 tolls each way to work every single day to work and he ALWAYS rides on the white line dividing the lanes and has yet to ever get a ticket.

yeah they tested it up to 180 i think... camera caught it every single time.

even with oil, grease, and a few other things smeared on your license plate to make it *reflect* you could see it clear as day. they also covered the plate with saran wrap and that didnt work at all either.'

just ride on the line dividing the lanes and it wont pick it up, ever.

If its a must that you dont pay the fee then at least buy an EZ tag and ride the white line. Not worth the fines. When I didn't have a tag I would actually stop and pay the fee and hold the line up while I dig around with gloves on. lol

I got tired of trying to get my tag to work. All over the jacket and all around the bike and it still doesn't work. It does work if I pull it out and start waving it around, but that's not easy to do at 65 mph through plazas. No fines or notices. I figure if they're not going to take my money, I don't mind keeping it.
