EZ Tag

I just joined the Tollroad users world. My new job that I should be getting means EZ tag from 249 & Beltway all the way to end of Westpark tollroad.

As a motorcycle commuter, were is the best place to put the tag, would you recommend some type of velcro mount so i can remove it everytime I leave the bike so the tag doesn't get stolen?

My bike tags never work well. My recommendation is to ensure it is registered with the right plate number so if they take a picture, they can match your license plate. I carry my easytag in a front jacket pocket.

so it is just a transmitter? or does it have to be in clear view of the "scanning equipement" on your windshield? I use a tailbag, and wear leather jacket, thus make it impossible to put in a front pocket that is thin.... hmmmm What about this license plate bracket mount? Sounds like a solution?

If you got the one for motorcycles (plastic box rather than w/s sticker) it will work from most anywhere. Mine’s under the seat, forgotten and works just fine on the 1/20 occasion that I don’t white-line.

you could always do what a "friend of mine does"

have ez tag on your bike with the plates on it, then dont even worry about having the thing that does the signal, if they take a pic of your plate they check the list, yup your on it, and they charge you the same as if you had it on it so why worry you'll never know the difference

oh and ride on the white line =)

by white lining, what do you guys mean? I know about lane splitting, but how does this whitelining work and would get busted with a ticket if you have a EZ tag transponder...

I did get the box one made for motorcycles, so if I put it under my bike seat it should work fine? Or better to put in tailbag?

you just ride directly on the white line thru the toll get off the line once you make it thru...it doesnt sense you went thru...ive never had a problem with doin it.....but i now have easy tag and i was told you can put ur ez tag any where....like in your jacket pocket...backpack..."trunk" of your bike..which is where i throw mine in...and it always senses it....

The EZ tag stored on i45 and airtex or richie(next to corvettes and more) has a monitor in the parking lot so you can drive past it. It gives a big green light as you do if it recognizes the tag.

The white line thing worked in the beginning but not anymore. If you look they cut sensors on the line and even to the sides so very difficult not to get picked up.:/:

Either a flip-up license plate (had one on my other bike) or just wheelie thru...
