Seller's remorse... I want a new bike, again..

Sold my HD a short while back and now I miss riding like crazy now...

I've been looking around, but I wanted to get others response on middleweight sport bikes. For good reason, RRs still scare me, but I dont object to buying one. It seems that the riding position would be more comfortable for commuting and the bikes are a bit smaller and lighter as well.

Im really digging the 08 SV650SF. Im sure everyone will praise it, but I also want to look at the GSX650F as I like the smoothness of 4bangers over v-twins; granted, the last v-twin I was on was my HD. Im also like the new Duc Monster this year. Comes out in the fall I think.

Yeah? Or do I just fork out a little more and buy a more popular and better(?) bike, the RRs?

i wouldnt get the katana (gsxf). theyre good bikes and pretty much bulletproof, but theyre tanks when it comes to handling. ive heard theyre quite comfortalbe, but from what i understand theyre under powered and the suspension is terrible. the sv bikes are killer tho.

GSX650F and Katanas are different now, right? Or is it still considered a Katana?

well sv's are ok comfort wise. stay away from the can o tuna... no resale there. rr's have better suspension and brakes over the sv, but are no commuter bikes. busas have the comfort and smoothness your looking for but the power is stupid if your not ready. I would say look at the honda VFR. v-4 design = smooth and powerful, touring comfort with sport bike aggression and great suspension and brakes.

SV's are great, but the suspension leaves a little to be desired. If you're not an agressive/track rider, then the SV would be a bargain for you. SV1K's can be had pretty cheap right now. It really is an under appreciated bike in my opinion, but I'm biased.

Racetech the front and add a Ohlins rear shock. Also, a damper is a good idea.
