I have an Icon Pursuit perforated leather jacket that I think is evey bit as well made as the A* jacket that I own. The perforated leather works great when underway in any reasonable temps.

You are welcome to try mine out if you are nearby.

I have no experience when it comes to anything since I am learning by researching thus far, but I for one would never compromise safety for comfort.

Seems like leather is the way to go. Like another member said, dress for the crash, not for the cruise.
