Off subject........what color katana do you have? About a week ago, I was riding up Hwy6, right before 90 and saw a yellow one just parked on the southbound shoulder. I looked around for the rider to see if he/she needed help, but didn't see anyone.

OK I've called Motorcycles unlimited and we're working out a deal on
Yoshimura Stainless Slip-on w/ midpipe and K&N filters w/ JetKit to rejet the carbs.
Should be a nice mod, depending on price.

$300 for just the can, $60 for the filter, and $80 for the jets. I dont know the shop rate but i bet its around $35/hr.

i say get just the can. if you get the jet kit you might as well spring for the full system and the air filter. my .02 cents :confused1

I was thinking the same thing.
If you just add the can and don't rejet the carbs won't it run lean?

no. if you have a full system and dont have any jets then it may run lean cuz of all the extra breathing its doing. with the can only you may get the occasional backfire when decelarating from high RPMs.

the jet kit is a good idea for the can but not required. i dont care what anybody else says.
