Crazy. a 700cc sportbike would definetly scare the peepoo out of me if the fastest vehicle I'd ever been in was a civic, for sure.

Some are just ignorant and lucky, however, that isn't specific to big bikes really.

I remember long long time ago when I first heard bikes had NOS too. I was like WTF?? Some things you never really envisioned before, become desensitized to you after a while.

Riding a litre bike is no big deal man. You just gotta respect the power they have. I was actually the other way around but im used to being in fast cars and ive owned a few bikes already. I bought my ZX10R expecting a huge difference between my 636 and the 10r and granted... it was fast but it wasnt your pants fast IMO. I still felt the need to mod it and make it even faster. Even in the end before i sold it and with everything i had done to it, it wasnt too extreme IMO as far as ridability but it def ran like a raped ape. Others might feel otherwise but i guess im just used to the power....

I catch myself slapping the side of mine like a horse trying to get a little more outa her, Yea I have ridden some really fast bikes, once U ride a low 8 second bike even a 9 secong camaro/ mustang/ bike seem slow, try a 7 secong 200 mph 600hp turbo busa on for size, thats a whole lotta yeehaa

I couldn't agree more, with every post on this thread. Even if you get comfortable with high-speed, it's still going to be a rush, and it's really easy to go way too fast way too soon. The heft, smoothness and power come together better, but it is a beast to tame, that's for sure!

I dream of a track day some day - but I come off an hour ride on the regular roads (even accommodating most of the laws, common sense, and other traffic) with a big WHEW! after every ride!

There are some people that never find something fast enough, and some that find something that is just right. It is good to know where your skills are and not the exceed them. I ride a 'Busa, and to me, it is fast. Almost too fast for me. I recognized that my skills are only mediocre and will continue to slowly work up to trying to ride her to her full potential. Just this past weekend I was able to lean over in corners to only have about 1/2 inch of chicken strips left.
If your happy with your 250, 500, 600, etc. stick with it. The important part is you’re riding and enjoying yourself.
