Either of you have any problems with the left side of the motor getting hot and bunrning your knee mine is getting burnt quite frequently

No, not really .. Left side is coolant reserve tank?? Fairings?? Only hot spot on the bike is the exhaust pipe..

If I get stuck sitting in traffic in this heat the fans will kick on and temp will get up to 220 degrees. So I try not to get stuck sitting in traffic..LOL

Yeah it is the frame that is getting pretty hot not to bad but i was riding yesterday after work and it burnt my knee but i just dont hug next to it now like i did before. ill get some pics tomorrow it rained on me a few times and the roads were nasty so it is dirty but ill get pics up pretty soon most likley tomorrow afternoon the guy that had it before me put some new sprockets on it and the speedo is all jacked up so ima have to find a place to get that fixed

I don't know how the speedo is driven on an 01 Kawi (Cable/Electronic), but if its electronic this should solve your problem.
