Yes, I know that these guys get tired of being asked questions about parts over the phone. But isnt that what they're their for?? If they got it then great maybe i might stop, if they dont, then im going somewhere else. Some people are good with people others are not. Its like everyone is bored or some or just tired of what their doing in life.

Its all about service, and they dont got it. The owner of MGMR, that older dude is cool.
If you are your bikes only mechanic, just order your parts online and stop bothering the locals shops for price quotes.

I've dealt with everyone over at that shop and have nothing bad to say. Period.

Well the bald guy can get kind of grumpy at times

Im in the industry so no comment on most of it.

Parts alone can be completely separate from service in any business. If we're looking for a price for part plus install, the 'iffy' number is for the things that may go wrong or add ons for bolts that are found missing or my need to be replaced etc that always happens w cars/bikes.

Everyone has their own opinion; I have been practically slapped upside my head by Patrick for abusing my bike and it's chain. They took me to the back and had a heart to heart with me for a few minutes like a caring parent.

To each their own

In your opinion, you see sometimes your 100% is really only around 35% in the real world, I am in no way taking a side as I am in the industry, but I am a huge student of human nature as well, so I like to see how well someone can relate a bad experience with a dealer without making themselves look like a major part of the problem. Now, that is a 2 way street as I have witnessed on many occasions, so as I stated I was just answering big comfy's question, not taking a side..well at least not on a public board...

WOW..... guy u need to get a life and get off the internet if all you do is penny pinch for things for your bike..... how do you think good service shops like MOTORCYCLES UNLIMITED stay in buisness....... not by people that would rather save a couple dollars, think about it the few you save by doing that and have some random person put it on, or a hole in the wall place.... that could be your life your loosing... its a bike, 2 wheels, if something goes wrong you can loose everything.. Motorcycles Unlimited is an amazing shop and is the ONLY place i will ever take my bikes period, i could care less how far i had to drive/ride to get to patricks shop!!!!! also i have never question price on labor on anything from patrick because i know his price is his work and his work is what keeps me safe and my bikes in top shape!!!!! this thread is over and rediculous!!!!!!!!!

If I had to guess since you said you had been there before , you usually ask for prices on stuff REPEATEDLY and never buy anything? AMIRITE?

I used to work at a Mustang shop and people would ask for prices ect all the time. No biggie accept when you are swamped and Joe Neverbuys comes in asking you to look up something you are fairly sure he's not going to but anyway.

I wasn't there but speaking from experiance in a similar industry can make an assumption.

I have never been to Motorcycles Unlimited but the guys that represent them here seem to be first class from what I have seen.

Too many to list

Another bad thing about buying on the net is sending your $$$ away from your locale.

It actually hurts your community more than you might think.

Loss of sale tax to fund schools etc., the list goes on.

Buy Local!!! IMHO!!!

Well, I didn't speak with you, so I'm not familiar with what happened, BUT, what specifically were you trying to get a price on?
