if the biker was obeying the law, then the law enforcing officer would not have gave chase. the officer gave chase to catch a law-breaker. thats his job. i think the juror was right. age has nothing to do with . you break the law, thats it. who cares if more 20 year olds break the law more the 40 year olds. its still breaking the law, and we have people to catch law-breakers. he got exaclty what he deserved. even if he didn't know the officer was in pursuit, he should have know WELL he was breaking th elaw and it was only a matter of time before the would be a cops on his . one more idiot off the road, too bad it cost a good cop his life.

racer x, I'm not against you on this one by no means, your the voice of wisdom and logic on this board (at least i think so but using a variation of your example...a family is out camping, the put out there bond fire and leave yet they didn't snuff it out completely (not intently of course but by accident) and it starts a forest fire, a fire fighter dies putting out that fire, should the family be charge with murder and/or manslaughter?

if im not mistaken, weren't those huge fires last yr, started by a cig. ......i think they were charged w/ something..........nobody died, but alot of property damage.........

also the cop went after him, commiting a felony vs misdemeanor........

IMO, and that it is...cuz nobody was in the courtroom, the riders actions led to the LEO's death. sure if if if.........but this is case. i have no prob. w/ the sentence......

you can argue that the rider couldn't see him........so what doing 100+mph on public roads, who's fault is that.....it's not a racetrack.

i got'cha on that one, that guy was def breaking the law (speeding) but i dont think he was planing on killing anybody (breaking that law) i feel that was accidental, i mean geesh happens should he be locked away for killing sombody!? eh.. big gray area if you as me... take his license away, fine the out of him, but lock him away for the rest of his years.. a little harsh no?

not so sure about the lit sig thing, sombody might have gotten a ticket for littering?

well, i know the case where that mexican club was dileberatly set on fire, fireman died, arsonist was charged and found guilty for his death.

no he didn't set out to kill somebody, but in the events that followed he did........same as the fire starter, he didn't mean to kill anybody but he did. now he suffers the consaquences.

Still donít agree with the murder charges.... He should of been locked up for a while so he could learn his lesson but he didnít set out to kill anybody or hurt anybody just haveing a spirited drive... SO everybody that is saying that he got what he deserved im sure every one of yall have pushed 100-130 b4 what if all of yall had to spend the rest of your lives in prison because a cop got a nail in his tire not to mention how many people hall on this board are you saying every one of them should be put away for 15-30 years.....

If you said no to any of that then i suggest you reconsider your statements in your argument..

Yes i do feel sorry for the cop but if it where my dad, mom or friend i would not be trying to get this guy for something he did not set out to do and im sure he feels bad for it...Even tho it was not is direct fault...
