shift pedal

There's an allen key hole at the base of my gear shifter, will that let me raise the height of my shifter so it's a little easier to put my a* boot under there to shift up?

It's easy to fit a toe in there in my normal day to day boots, but I can barely fit the A*'s under the shifter. :/:

Look at the ends of the rod, connecting the lever to the engine; should be nuts at either end and you turn the entire rod to change length....

Yes, you remove the bolt, pull the shifter off the spline, and re-install it in a position you find more comfortable.

Got it, thanks. I just need to adjust it one notch up when I wear the A*'s

I don't know about the R6, but on most other bikes, you can loosen the shift rod nuts (one is reverse thread) and shorten or extend the length to change the angle of the shifter too.

I'm not on a R6, it's the YZF600...

but I had to pull out the allen bolt at the base of the shifter, and then take out one small bolt that holds the shift rod to the spline and then re-attach everything. works like a charm.

There should be an adjustable rod, running from the bottom rear of the shift pedal, forward to the transmission.

It should have jam nuts on either end, which you can loosen and rotate the rod to make up/down adjustments. You can fine tune the height from there once you get it close with the splines...
