Duc Down

So on the way down to the BBQ the Duc breaks down thanks to Curt and the rider with him sorry I dont remember your name but you two were the only ones out of a group of 20 to stop to make sure I was ok Also thanks to Lewis "witch DR." for picking her up and taking her home for me it nice to know I have people I can ask for help when I need it

You wasn't the yellow Duc that had a DPS trooper behind it were you? There was also a Yellow/black GSXR there too. This was on 288...

Yep guys like Curt and Louis are great guys and will allways help out a brother, I will be happy to pick it up and help U out with it like we talked about if U need me too, glan it wasent worse, I,ve seen guys crash when they dump oil, so be thankfull for that

Theres not supposed to be any oil under the clutch cover on ducs, dry clutch

My bad... I didnt even see you until we're almost right up on the area... I was riding next to Curt on the outside lane. I couldn't re-act in time because I had some more bikes behind me. Sorries aren't good enough but I em. Hope everything goes well with the repairs.GL

I was on 288 and all of a sudden I hear a loud sound and the back tire locked up and I was all over the road so I coasted to the side of the road to see if anything was leakin but found nothing at the time curt said lets see if we can make to the track went about 1-1/2 down the road and the bike started getting louder so I just shut it down and waited for my boys to come pick her up. And BTW the DPS was very cool we sat there and BSed for awhile Thanks to everyone involed

bike is at my place. I had to move it outside cause of a fuel leak. I fired it up and drove it out. no oil is being dump. I think the smoke was clutch being roasted.

Sorry man, I was in that group. Like the guy said before. We came up on you too fast and I was on the inside lane amongst 20 riders.. I would have stopped but didnt want to cause a pile-up. I saw Curt and another pull out of formation to stop so I knew you had help..

Purdy sure Ur mistaken, most all Ducs have had dry clutches since at least the early 90,s, I got a 1098 and its dry as dry can be, almost the same bike:/:

MY BAD, I didnt realize they did that, SORRY, I made a mistake, see it does happen, why did they do that? everything else has a dry clutch, what are they thinkin? may as well buy a bike

almost.. But yes the 848 has a wet clutch. HUGE uproar when it came out too...
