The necks on the k7s are alot weaker then older years and snap easily.

I hope all involved fair well; our prayers are with them.

Oh man, I hope and pray that Gary wasn't paralyzed. As soon as anyone knows anything, I want to visit these people in the hospital.

wow... that looks terribly bad. I really hope the riders make it alive.

Just this morning I saw a lady riding a scooter crashed right before my eyes on Tc jester. I was in my car--approx. 50 ft behind her--when she hit a bump on the rode and lost control of the bike. she rolled up 3 times on the asphalt before coming to a halt. She was wearing no gear and suffered some serious head concussion. she was unconscious and a significant amount of blood was oozing out of her skull as I approached to her. I immediately called an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital. She had regained consciousness by the time she was taken by the ambulance. I really hope she made it.

Man, I see this this alot lately (for obvious reasons). Mostly women, but also men, on scooters with no helmet and/or no gear. I have a friend who just bought a 50cc scooter, and she admits she doesn't like to wear the lid either. I rode her scoot, and to be honest, I felt more vulnerable on that scooter than I do on a motorcycle. The headlights are weak, the profiles are even smaller, and the power is non-existant. There's "nothing there" to shoot you out of a situation if you had to. I told her I felt she'd be safer with a 250, cause I honestly believe that.

remarkably though, the scooter fared rather well. didn't even brake a mirror.

tell her to at least wear a half face helmet, if the lady I previously mentioned had been wearing one she would've probably only suffered road rash rather than finding herself on the verge of death.

man, that accident on Crab River road could have been really bad.

As for the scooter rider wrecking I suspect we will be hearing more of this.

Those scooters have smaller tires and a suspension that won't take bumps as well as a motorcycle combined with newbie riders and you have a recipe for wrecks.

On the road to Austin and back this weekend ... saw my fair share of squids ... was a nice weekend to ride though. I hope these people pull out okay ... that bike looked totally messed up.
