Yankees Tavern

I've had a few people tell me that Yankees has either changed owners or kitchen help and the burgers are marginal quality/taste at best. Can anyone who has been up recently confirm or deny?

Went three weeks ago and the burgers were just as good as always

they still have a 'for sale' sign on the street sign when you first pull in.

Yep same here. Haven't been in 3-4 weeks but last time the burgers were still great, service was still great, and the for sale sign was still up.

Had a Yankees burger as recent as yesterday. Tasted the same, and for sure took as long to get it.

From the info I've gotten, the reason for selling the joint is to move back to Somerville where the owner has his first bar. The food is still excellent.
