NBA dress code

what do yall think about the new dress code enforced by the NBA?

i think its a great idea, after all they are professional athletes so why not look professional? some players look like they are on the AND 1 Tour and not the NBA.

heres the details.... http://www.nba.com/news/player_dress_code_051017.html

it seems kind of too strict for me.. they're going to play a game of basketball its ridiculous that they have to dress up before they go to play.

At first they were saying that players that are not playing and sitting on the bench will have to wear suit and tie. Then I heard the other day that it would have to be a nice shirt and slacks. So I dont know how formal it is, but they pretty much not letting players wear throw-backs and such.

Look at michael jordan. Undoubtely one of the greatest players ever. I promise that 99% of the time at the press conferance or when he wasn't playing. He was always in a suite. They want to be called professional athletes, they should be professional people. Of course we all know that's far from the truth. But they should at least dress the part for interviews and if they're not playing

Its an old school tradition. I guess no one here played BBall in HS or College. It was known for the team 2 dress up shirt and tie on game day. It was professinal and let others know that they played on the team.
