Thanks Gavin!

So at 39 miles loop:

14 minutes: avg speed = 167mph
10 minutes: avg speed = 234mph

Vid of averaging 234mph or BAN. now.

lol...Turn off biker boys, this is not the fast and the furious, ghost rider went to prison. If you like to go fast there is a place for that but its not the 610loop. But he i guess thats wht natural selection is for.

If a cop was chasing me, I'd be going in a straight line, OUTTA TOWN ! Not running circles, AROUND TOWN ! & I'm not a fan of holding my bike, on the rev limiter, for that long, either.

My opinion..

it, I'm not cool enough for the club.

This 10 or 12 minutes is BS
I just did a lil searching and compare

The Isle Of Man 37.5miles record time is 17:12

Houstons 610loop 38 miles long 10 or 12 minutes??????? I think not

If i was stupid and had a reason to kill myself i would try the 610 loop but I would shoot for maybe around 20min. With a naked blowup doll riding 2up just for the of it..lol

All the riders have to do it hit an exit and and go up a side street. Typical cruiser cant catch them. The new Chargers handle like at the high speeds and usually the Cameros arent out running at 3-5am. Those are mainly used for quick stops on the freeways doing traffic enforcement and typically from midnight to 5 am there isnt as much traffic...

You do realize you cannot compare isle of man to the 610. 610 is near straight away loop with minimal turns.

I've read about this here and there.

I'm sure at least one or two people have done the late 14 minute time that keeps popping up everywhere. Some of those high speed turns have huge bumps. You would really have to KNOW 610. It wouldke a lot of preparation.

your picking nits.. :-)

cheap math for it though...

37-49 mile loop...

37-39 min @ 60mph
18.5-19.5 @ 120mph
9.25-9.75 @ 240mph

so..10 minutes? Yea..right.
14 minutes...maaaybe and like ^ above, probably only a couple and a great deal
of luck involved.

I still get a kick out of the suggestion that the loop has gotten 'longer'. :-)

The new Chevy Caprice, which I'm sure HPD probably has a few of at this point, would probably have no problem keeping up on 610 in at least the 20 minute run range with it's 150+ top speed from a 400 hp V8, plus good handling from being a unibody with rear independent suspension and the benefit of four wheels keeping it from falling over from hitting some of the gnarly bumps.

You have mostly single officer Crown Vics around the inner loop. They probably wouldn't bother with you, and just allow you to red mist yourself on your own accord.

The problem with even the 159 mph, 14-min-loop is that you have to average 159 mph.

There are quite a few places where one necessarily has to drop below that speed because of curves, hills or road surface conditions. This is turn requires several stretches at speeds far greater than 159 to make the average.

I think a liter bike and a decent rider with HUGE could do it (and I think the would be more important than the skill), but I seriously wanna doubt that it's been pulled off.

And I'm too lazy to do the math but the innermost lane of the clockwise loop is somewhat shorter than the outermost lane of the counterclockwise loop.
