brake fluid reservoir cover

Why do some people put a wristband around their front brake fluid reservoir? Is there some reasonable explaination, or do they just not wanna see it when they are riding?

It can also soak up any overflow if you manage to get your brakes hot enough for the brake fluid to boil and push fluid out of the reservoir. Pretty rare for that to happen with most modern brake fluids and brake systems.
