front tire??

how many of you are running a 120/60 17 on the front of your gixxer or equivalent as track bike only?
i know its gonna make it turn faster, but is it worth giving up the clearance?
i got a of a deal on some michelin slicks but only now did i realize the front was a lower profile.
i believe the OEM calls for 120/70 17.....
may run at MSR-C this weekend..
also does any one have an opinion on that particular tire?

Side wall is pretty short, thus not much flex there...i.e. feedback. It is not the worst thing, but a 120/70 front would be optimal.

IMHO, spring for a 120/70 front & fleabay the other one off.

120/70 FTW! We used to run 120/60 on the SV for some reason (it's all Michelin gave us then), when we switched to 120/70, it was like a light going on!
I am Tyler Durdin's bad attitude.

I wouldn't run that tire on the track if it was free. What's the date on that P.O.S. ?

You won't like the 60 series front. The profile is too shallow and will push in the turns when run at a good pace.

I would stick with the size that is supposed to be on your bike. Just my .02.
