Was thinking about this from the other thread, and wondered... What was the first literbike you rode? Did you peepants a little bit when you opened up the thottle for the first time?

I'd really like to try an R1.

First liter bike was (and still is my bike actually) a 2004 R1. I still get a big smile when I roll that throttle open

First liter + bike was a 1984 GPZ 1100 (back in '87) I thought that thing was rocket. Not much compared to todays bikes, but it was quick for it's day, and the fastest bike I'd been on at the time.

I should have included this in the first post also... How long did you ride before you hopped on a 1k?

GPZ was my first streetbike, but I'd ridden minibikes and three wheelers for about 7 years. When the Honda 250R threewheeler came out, I though that it was fast too - I think my age is showing

89 FZR1000 off the showroom, keeping in mind that most modern 600's would run laps around it.

ha yeah that reminds me of my X wifes father... Rode Goldwings, etc. and wanted to ride my old 95 GSXR 7/11.... His old rode a wheelie most of the way down the street, and came back white as a ghost, handed me the keys and didn't say much of it.

That's fkn awesome. You know after that experience he has a lot of respect for you. Probably just in the ability to ride sport bikes though since she's an ex now.

The only bike I've ridden that's a litter bike is a zrx-1200. Nice torque, it's fun but my bike will pull on it after the first shift. I'd love to try a true SS liter bike.
