buying a trailer? Reccomendations?

I'm almost f'd out of my uhaul trailer rental for this weekend. It is THEIR screwup not mine. Does anyone know where I can BUY a trailer that I can haul a bike with that's decent and wont rake me over the coals. I've seen the ones at norhtern tool but they look kinda chinsy, same as harbor freight. I don't want anything huge, just something with a low ramp that is easy to load and unload. I have no were to store it but these uhaul screw ups have burned out my last nerve with them, so the HOA nazis will just have to get used to seeing a trailer detached on the side of the garage for the time being! Uhaul is totally UN-RELIABLE!! The vehicle i just retrofitted with a uhaul trailer hitch hookup is a 2008 Toyota highlander V6.

I bought a Kendon Dual Rail from On the Border Motorcycles in Pasadena. Loads low, has big wheels/tires, torsion bar suspension, and stores upright in a space 2' x 7'. Great trailer. Highly recommend it.

I called trailer man, 720 for that 5x10 one not bad at all. another dumb question, do you have to register a trailer? How much does that cost? Even if I bought one there is no way I could get a plate for it by saturday probably.

Yes, it has to be registered. You can go to the tax office and get a 30day temp tag ($25) or the place you buy one should be able to hook you up with a temp.

It was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for and it will hold its value for resale.

Yes you have to register it, but when you buy it you will get a paper plate just like you do when you buy a car. You're good with that for at least a month.

Can't remember what it costs to register the trailer, I haven't done it since I bought it. I don't use it that much but (knock on wood) have never been stopped for it.

I use the 4x8 Harbor Freight trailer with a HF motorcycle wheel chock also. It's got probably 2000 miles on it with no issues, other than fading paint. I did reinforce the frame where I clamped a tongue jack to it, though. I haul my motorcycle on it, use it for runs to Home Depot, and I've even used it to carry around the frame and body for my buddy's hot rod when it was still in pieces. I've been very pleased with it.

PS: Towed this trailer over 2000 miles with a 4 Cyl Toyota Camry. Then a good 1000 miles with a Ford F150. Towed just fine with both
