Well THAT sucked...

I was coming home from work a little while ago. I had just turned onto my street and I was doing 30mph about 20 houses away from home. And if you were wondering, yes the speed limit is 30 on my street. I never exceed the speed limit near my house or bump the subs in the cage (bad experiences with previous neighbors.) Anyway, I'm coming down the street when a couple of ignorant little 10 year olds riding on the side walk on the right side of the street with their nifty little golf cart decide to take the driveway right in front of me to pull that sucker out into the street AFTER MAKING EYE CONTACT WITH ME. I had to make a swirve to the right of the golf cart between them and the curb, and then another swirve to avoid a car parked against the curb, and the whole while these little hellians were yelling GO! GO! GO! and cheering becuase a motorcycle just went past. If I was in my car, these two little angels would be pretty and dead.

Good idea. I know exactly who owns the cart. They only live about 6 houses away.

Nope...... The parent might catch a boot to the face if anything like that EVER happened again, or if they seemed not to care about the incident.

Talking

I find that if I grab the little bastards and tell them take me to your Daddy!! I then tell the Daddy calmly what his little inbred fukkers did, I usually get to hear him wail on their stupid . If not, I tell him the next time I see him it will be with the Sheriff, cause I live on a lake and I will press charges. I have only had to resort to this once. But I aint skeered to do it again.

Jeez, some of you people wear me out...

they are kids - do you really expect them to know traffic laws and respect for other vehicles at that age?

Boys do dumb stuff - at all ages.

Next time that happens why not stop and talk to them and let them look at your bike? They might become your ally if someone tries to jack with your stuff.

I don't live in a closed community anymore but my grandparents do and we use to... I don't miss those adventures one bit. I use to rollerblade the trails but I felt like the odd person out having to dodge all the kids. As much as the golf carts can sway if you push them, will really mess w the steering if you give it a nice push btw.... I do it at work all the time w someone trying to be a smart azz as they drive close beside me. Give the frame a good push and they will turn sharply towards you and freak out
