For the record, you're no different than any other racer getting in to the sport, or staying in the sport. At one point or another, we all lived/ live our lives for this sport. As for me, that fleeting moment lasted about 3 years at first, and was rejuvenated about 5 years ago at a different level.

Good on ya for putting forth the effort though, I'm sure if you keep on working you'll do just fine

You WERE being attacked (by someone who obviously feels threatened)...that's how it read to me.

I've never seen you race, but I believe your dedication. Don't let the not so clever emails in any way dissuade you from your goals.

The facts are what they are. How they are interpreted is subjective.

There were some erroneous facts in my post: There were not 62 riders. There were 21 riders which totaled 62 entries.

In addition, the CMRA has yet to issue a license to a Dustin Johnson and the number 979 currently belongs to another CMRA racer.

Nothing personal DJ, for as you've stated we have never met, I frequently respond with facts to posts that contain inaccurate or misrepresented information.

my lap times aren't far off RonnieH's, and at Cresson and OHR I am running the same times as him
During last years Oak Hill and MSR Cresson races I was racing with 6 broken ribs and bronchial meningitis. You might want to go back and check the lap times from 2006, too.

But I'll extend the olive branch, LSTD will be at Oak Hill Friday June 13th. C'mon out if you can and if your fastest lap is within 2.0 seconds of my fastest lap, I will pay for your track day!

Alternatively, if your lap times are not within 4 seconds of mine by lunch time I will work with you one-on-one and I guarantee that you will run faster laps around Oak Hill.

It's a win-win, just let me know.

It'll even have your name on it when you get there! We'll see if we can hire Jody to be your 1:1 instructor for the day

Dustin,

Congrats on 1:27's at Hallet. Not too bad for a novice on a track that you have never ridden. Kudos to the 2 M's at TTD for their hospitality.

Racing usually involves other competitors that want to beat you and that make you want to beat them. I hope you come race in the CMRA where other riders in your races can help you improve your skills and help you push your own envelope. I promise you that it is worth a second a lap.
As far as Ronnie Hay and the OHR challenge. Come on out and learn!!!

Cool Who are you again?

As quoted from:
CMRA Board of Directors Nominees: Meet the candidates
http://www.cmraracing.com/bod.html#ronnie

"One of the things I will champion against is this perceived disdain for our yellow shirt riders. It pains me to hear the criticism leveled on these new riders by those that have a bit more experience. " Ronnie Hay

It seems a bit hypocritical from what your mission statement is as a CMRA Board of Director, to what you actually represent on this forum. I view this attack on a novice rider that you have never met, as an injustice. He was merely thanking M&M from TTD who supported his racing, and used one sentence to announce the results from his race weekend. Congrats Dustin- keep up the good work!

Since when is presenting the truth an attack?

Discerning the truth should always be an objective of a Board member.

Let's not forget, I've also offered to help him lower his lap times at Oak Hill.

"...you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

BTW - Welcome to MotoHouston!
