Exclamation TIRED OF THIS SH*T!!!!!

CAPS****,well here's my rant,im TIRED of all these rip, rider down threads, it gets old,(yes racer x) i know we can't change the accidents, but we as a motorcycle community, can trry to change things,i mean why not make msf a thing to have when buying any 2 wheeled machine,or stiffer penalties when caught without any class m ? or yet even worse penalties to the cagers if they are at fault, but 9 times out of ten it has to do with the bikes going to fast to have time to react. so im gonna look into getting stiffer penalties for the party that is at fault. and for you guys/gals riding with no insurance, class m , no gear. will get stiffer as well. just TIRED of all this same threads about riders down and passing away, yes i know there is a judicial system who handle the outcome,of the case but what if the only other witness is laid to rest,10 times out of 10 its our fault. well there's more to rant but ill let the rest of you chime in and voice yours-Racer x. we're waiting on your thoughts

Do you really think the government should be legislating safety? Except in the case wherein a cager hits a bike, a biker riding without gear is simply darwin in action. Yes, these folks are our friends and acquaintances, but at the end of the day they are responsible for their own actions.

I do not advocate stiffer penalties for riders without gear; frankly, we ought to do the opposite. Those who take the risks must pay the penalty with their own money, time, and if necessary, their own lives.

+1

It's like the smoking bans and such- while we know that our friends and family put themselves at risk by smoking, I don't like the idea of the Gub'ment telling people what they can and can't do with themselves. At some time, folks have to take responsibility for themselves.

Only drawback to the whole Darwin thing is that all "those" who choose to not wear gear just raise insurance rates for the rest of us.

Luckily after Jan. Obama-Clinton will fix that with universal health care.

Way I see it, this all boils down to personal responsibility. Take a long, hard, honest look at yourself and how you ride. Do you speed all the time? Weave thru traffic? Wheelies on the highway in traffic? Banzai SMR? Wear appropriate gear?

9 times out of 10, the rider had a chance to avoid being a statistic. Whether it be his awareness of his surroundings, his skill level, or his riding style.

I too am tired of reading about riders down.. but then I ride around on the bike or car, and just have to shake my head at what I see.

Darwin is alive and well. And you can't fix stupid.
