While being new to the scene and just getting on my first bike, I definitely have to send my wishes out to the rider and his family. Also being EMT/FF this hits hard.

It gets worse and worse each year, more and more fatalities. While in the natural progression of life, this sort of thing will never end, there are measures that can be taken, legislature put into place that would heed the careless driver and punish them for their "accidents". This is at the very least involuntary manslaughter, but it sounds like there's merely a "slap of the hand" involved.

Everyone be safe out there...

And whatever the real story is, if the Busas were drag racing, then maybe they should take that ish to the track and not on our public roadways.

we gotta be more carefull out there.!!!!

there is a time n place for speed. i think both parties could have done things a lil differently

i have read the whole thread.

sorry to hear stuff like this.
but keep in mind that u might have a diff oppinion if that driver was ur relative or son. he was young and in-exp. driver at night and a non rider. they have no idea how to judge bike headlights! WE have to be more aware.

as riders we always stop to watch the bike go by because we know what can happen.
all i am saying is lets not be so harsh on the young guy or gal. we all make mistakes. why do u think the driver was crying. shame on them if they just thoughlessly ran or slowed at that sign.

but lookin at the bike and car this guy was moving real fast. something to think about ALL of us, if he was doing the speed limit do you honestly think he could have stopped or avoided this?????
BE careful guys!!!

he will be missed! i am sure of it.
i call her crackhead. she is on serious dope!
