man,i was having some electrical problems with the gixxer. still runs strong,as i rode it to work today. to be honest, the rr was/is my dream bike. fell in love when they first rolled out. don't like the 08's. someone gave me a lesson on the major brands. it went like this:

honda-will run forever and best plastics, not the fastest.
yamaha-nice bike, but hard to find and expensive parts.
kawasaki- best transmission out of the four.
suzuki-probably the quickest, but always breakin down.

these are all of his opinions lol.

Honda - best engine (reliability wise).
Yamaha - best handling.
Kawasaki - raw power, crappy transmission!
Suzuki - Err, most common?
