Suspension Changes with Track Tires

Switching to Pirelli DOTs hard rear, medium front from Corsa3s. What changes do recommend for suspension settings? I have stock suspension on an '06 GSXR1k...

Input from people who don't necessarily want me to crash would be prefered...

I don't know if the circumference is different from the Corsa III to whatever you bought, but if it is, you make up the difference in ride height to compensate.

Like Jody said, you're going to a softer carcass tire (if you're changing to race dot's) so you might address the preload.

Gotta be honest with you here, most of the adjustments have to be made at the track based on what you're experiencing. There's no hard and fast "two clicks here, one turn there" kind of adjustment to be made without your input while riding.

Basically, until you ride it, you won't know what change to make.

Not to mention, the GSXR has limited adjustments with stock suspension, and it's designed from the factory for a 110 lb 5' Japanese rider anyway.

Clear as mud?

If your staying within the same manufactor and the same size, the geometries of the two tires should be very close.
Like Jody said, the carcass of the two will/can be drastically different. So subtle changes will most likely be necessary.

True, but not an absolute. Even within tire manufacturers you'll find circumference differences and especially differences in the overall profile of the tire: one may be more "rounded" while the other is more "triangular".

You won't know until you ride it the first time, then evaluate what changes you need to make or what changes the suspension guy makes.
