Kawasakis are the least expensive. Brute force is alot of bang for your buck. Quality is fair.

Polaris has a 800 Sportsman, fair pricing. Has an extremely bad 4x4 system. Quality is an issue to some people. You either love or hate polaris.

Honda is the most expensive, but providing the best reliability. Gear driven trannys vs everyones belt driven. No worries about belts slipping/breaking. Honda does not have a true 4x4 and biggest they have is a 680 Rincon.

I have owned mutiple 4 wheelers Right now I have 2 hondas I just sold my King Quad 700 and I had a brute force my honest opinion is

Honda is bullet proof but no diff lock and no low range (both of these suck not to have)

Can AM amazing but pricey

The brute Force I call it the Force I hated it with a passion it bogged alot the dif lock cable broke on the 3rd ride and then all went wrong with it

Artic Cat (would not by another one to save my life)

Suzuki KING QUAD FTMFW!!!!

High and low range cvt transmission electronic diff lock and all kinds of power it was the most amazing 4 wheeler for the price now with the new 750 out it is really nice throw a 2 inch lift on it and a set of 29.5 inch outlaws and head out

2nd place would be the Grizzly 700 it is good and has lots of power I do not like the display nor the seat on it but hey it is a good strong quad you can put 29.5's on it without a lift

The kawasaki Brute Force 650 is You can stand that thing up with no clutching no bumps just straight throttle while moving. I haven't ridden many others that size or bigger but all I can say is wow. Got it up over 60mph. Buddy of mine was dealing them in La Grange and said the torque converters go out easy but other than that they are reliable. You can't go wrong with anything Honda. Canam has been dominating. I think you are good to go on all the major brands, kinda like buying a motorcycle. :dontknow: The Kawa 350 is still a decent running 4wheeler. Had plenty of power for 2up and went through some rough stuff.

My friend has a Suzuki and it is 2 years old and broke down....my other friend (his brother) has a Yamaha and guess what, it's broke down. They did all of that mudding and water over the headlights stuff with snorkles and such and all it does is destroy a bike. The electrical connectors corrode and when they fix them, the break down somewhere else. I have had my Yamaha Raptor for a while now and I haven't had a lick of problems. Why cause I don't go mudding in it. I ride it as intended. Oh and both of them have had their fair share of broken CV joints due to lifting them.

Leave 'em stock and ride 'em easy and you can buy anything on the market and keep it forever. The troubles come in when you start to modify the bikes. I've owned a couple different brands and thrashed even more. Right now we have a Polaris Ranger with a lift, wheels, stereo etc.. We haven't done more than regular maintenance and it's got about 450 hours on it. We had a honda EX250 that plowed through everything you can imagine, never broke a thing. Polaris, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, go to any ATV website and you'll find that ATVers are extremely rabbid about the brand they ride. Find the one that does what you want best and go have fun.

BTW. The Can-Am Renegade 800 is by far the fastest ATV I've ever thrown a leg over. It's low range will outrun some of the other open class 4x4s in high.

Go to Genes Powersports in Baytown and ask to see Chase (sale manager), he's a fanatic. He'll let you try out whatever they have in stock (Polaris, Can-Am).

if your lookin for a couple of fun quads look into the yamaha warrior or wolverine, both the same except the woverine is 4x4. Ive had my warrior since 98, and its been fun as , mud cross it does it all, and ive only rebuilt the motor once. Needs to be rebuilt again but the thing is 10 years old.
