I do some videography, i've done at least 3 weddings and they've turned out pretty good. My recommendation is contact Visual Interactive Dynamics, near 59 and westpark. They equipment rental prices that are great. If you pick up the cameras after 3pm on frdy, you have them till noon on monday for the price of one day. For example, an XL2 would cost you $150 for the whole weekend..... you can get all sorts of great stuff, and even better cameras.

Camera quality and AUDIO is important, so i'd say rent the lavier mike as well to make the difference...

I wish you luck, if you're lookign to make the video do the track justice, i'd recommend renting pro gear unless you already own those $5000+ cameras

:-)

I have always thought THIS is what the Speed Channel show SUPERbikes should be about. Nothing against the stunt thing, in fact, that should be on there as well.
I just think that covering trackdays, bike mods, tires, and equipment along with interviews with riders and instructors about technique, safety and preperation would make the show MUCH more interesting.
Then you could include coverage of bike types and how suitable they are for track days, even discussion about track only vs. using a streetbike.
This may not apply to what you wanna do Azylum but maybe there are some ideas you can use.

video sounds good.

maybe have three types of people you follow. a noob, a veteran trackday guy with all his stuff (not the pro stuff but the put together kind of stuff), and the veteran racer with the nice trailer, gear, bikes, tools, and friends that always kiss his .

i think you'll have a better view of things doing a video on a pre-race practice day. you'll have plenty of experts and novices that's been around or just starting....but you'll get a lot of very different views and different comments.

+1

next cmra events are:

Friday, June 13th @ Oak Hill Raceway
Friday, July 4th @ MSR-Houston
Friday, August 22nd @ The Motorsport Ranch
Friday, September 26th @ Eagle’s Canyon Raceway
Friday, October 17th @ Texas World Speedway

CCS:

I just checked but they don't seem to list who the TD are being held by before the races if one is being held at all. IDK maybe someone can shed some light on the matter.
