His ride his rules, just wondering. No doubt a jacket is needed I've just never seen anyone say they are required.

I may try to make this one, and yes I have a jacket.

This sucks. I haven't been to the forest in a few weeks and now it will be at least a few more before I can.

Nope. M-F for the win. Actually after first week in June it will be M-T. I am not supposed to ride for at least 4 weeks due to my shoulder. I tried to get on the other day but I couldn't. Gonna keep working the arm and try to get it back in shape as soon as possible. This off the bike for the 1st half of summer chit ain't gonna work.

Yep his ride his rules. But honestly, if I didn't have boots, gloves, jacket and helmet. I would not make this ride. Seen several go down out there, its easy to mess up and eat it and when I go down I plan on being dressed to fall.

You guys be safe out there in the forest and eat a big fat Yankee burger for me.!

This is a rule we adopted a few weeks ago. I have been on 5 forest rides and I have seen 4 people go down incuding a broken frame. Those are some pretty high numbers. Only 1 person would have sustained the same injuries without gear (torn MCL) and the other 3 were saved because of their gear. We are first and foremost interested in rider safety and to effect that interest we adopted that rule.

The $200 you spend on a leather jacket will be the best money ever spent should you have to use it.

My Father always told me, "You cannot please everyone." I try to do what I think is best for the group.

The pace is conservative. tiatool, could you please expand on the route? I am still learning the roads up there. We stop and eat at Yankees and head back after that and you could be back to 45 and 242 by 1400.

routes need to be PM-ed on request, dont post....this is still a public forum which means our 'guests' whether fellow bikers or awareness programs can see our posts
