EK and DID both make chains in the 520 pitch that test stronger than factory 530 chains.

I just got turned onto Regina chains. Supposed to be a pretty impressive product.

I've used Regina for a long time, but over the years I've used DID, EK, and others.

Basically, as long as you take care of your chain, it'll take care of you

You really should look at "Supersprox"- they offer a lifetime guarantee, and sell chain + both sprockets for great prices.

They are super lightweight and strong!

www.supersprox.com

I've got a sprocket set and chain on order through them right now

If you're replacing your chain, you NEED to replace the sprockets as well. If you're doing both, y not change to the 520? You can get plenty of mileage (td's) out of a well maintained 520 kit.
Someone here's throwin out the Supersprox a bit lately, try them. They are supposed to be very good.

EDIT: Just saw it was TomLSTD. SS is a sponsor for them. Give 'em a shot. Couldn't hurt.

Man, my regular $.02 on the 520 is that you should NOT change to 520 if you're using aluminum sprockets (which is about all you can get).

Supersprox does make a 520 with aluminum carrier and steel teeth (with a warranty even), so I would say that would be OK. By and large though, there is NO advantage to be gained or lost by going to a 520 and sometimes it will cost more money.
