SCOOTER QUESTION

Does anyone know if there is a need for haveing an M endorsement
for a moped or scooter. My wife's sister is thinking about getting a scooter
and I told her it would be good to take a course but didn't know about
needing an M license.

I don't think you need a license for a two wheeled vehicle of a 100cc or less.

The one I went to look at with her was a 50cc and 150cc. 50 gets up to 35mph and 150 gets up to 70. She seemed more interested in the 150. So a 150 maybe but probably not on the 50cc.

50cc,I believe, is the line where a license is required. I would also suggest MSF to her as well...I believe there is a scooter course also.

I say just do MSF. It will still teach her good skills for driving on the roads and when she wants to get a bike she will be ready and already know how to drive one.
