What is it about Houstonians, and stuff falling off/out of trucks? You don't see nearly as much garbage on the roads anywhere else in TX. , I remember one time in my stang I ran over a farking tailgate on I45. A tailgate! how do your lose your tailgate!?

Worst thing for me so far has been bugs.

The worst one was a dragon fly as well. It hit me in my left shoulder. I had my jacket on and it still stung for a few minutes. I just heard a loud pop, and felt it hit...... nothing to bad.

I had a LARGE wood box made of plywood fly out of a truck and explode on me. Sucked. I hate unsecured cargo. Really me off.

I was riding to the exit for the woodlands going home w my love on the back of the bike, so I wasn't driving aggressive to begin with. Started to smell rubber burning and saw the rig infront of us, assuming he had a tire about to go. We had to swap lanes, so I stayed behind him, pointed at the right side outer tire to her, which at that moment blew up. We were on the exit ramp and the rubber blew out before us and bounced into us. I stayed upright to protect her (about 60mph) and took one in the shoulder i couldn't avoid.

Ive hit birds and rocks before but the mass of the rubber was what put me back. Anything can happen on these roads... be careful out there.

I got nailed in the knuckle of my left hand by a rock. I had glove on but it still hurt real bad. When I got home and took my glove off my knuckle was spit open and bleeding all inside my glove. That finger still hurts to this day when I try to bend all it the way and that was about four years ago.

A little off topic.....

Got on my bike, put the jacket, helmet and gloves on. I roll out of my hood. Get on the feeder..as I am accelerating to get on the freeway I feel something crawling around in my helmet. First its at the back of my head...then it's crawling to the top..buy this time I realize whatever it is it is HUGE! Then this big tree roach shows up on my eyebrow. I can see him out of the corner of my left eye! Must have been a solid 2 1/2 inches long! I dart back to the feeder..I am like rolling trying to take my helmet off..but I can't because I have to get the gloves off first! So I get the gloves off, I am like sitting on one glove, trying to balance and watch the curb..get the other glove off and finally get that off my head! There was nowhere to pull over..so I finally make the to the gas station! Sat there and near ripped my helmet apart making sure it was out of there! How would I have explained that crash if it had happened???

Lesson learned---dont keep your helmet in the garage. If you do, bag it!

I had a strange moment. At Cypresswood and Veterans at the light, i was just sitting there. hadn't been splitting or doing anything questionable. I felt something light hit me as i was pulling away with traffic and a white pickup truck was sitting there in the turning lane, and they yelled something and had their windows down. I was moving so couldn't find what they had thrown, but I started boiling.

I'm very slow to anger, and never been in a fight, but wow.... if that had happened while sitting still, i would have been awfully tempted to throw the kickstand down, and walk over... or just split away through digits that I avoid throwing.....

I have been struck with the standard Tx trash on the roads including M T beer cans.

My worst contact was with a small street sign that is on the causeway to Gtown, It said no parking on the shoulder.
I was following a pickup too close in a pickup in the left lane and he kicked it up a couple of feet, it hit the wall, started spinning like a Frisbee and creased half my truck on my side.

I have straddled a couple of ladders in the center of the highways, that sucked.

I think the strangest object that struck me was a full bottle of prescription drugs a rider had in his pocket in front of me.
Blasting up 59S at CRR the brown plastic bottle bounced twice and slow enough to identify before smashing and exploding on the front of my 2 week old Yammy.
I saw pills and plastic fly like slow motion.

Watch out for pallets, brooms, shovels, and small machinery - oh and never get behind a construction contractors truck!
