I've hit lots of small stuff and luckily dodged most of the larger items that clutter Houston roadways. However the things that annoy me most are bullfrogs, those things are everywhere on the backroads in Huntsville at night. I'll see them jump out of the corner of my eye and them SLAM they nail me on the feet and usually knock my foot off the pegs they hit so hard.

I got whacked in the shoulder by a seagull at about 45 mph once.

LoL at the blow up doll. I forgot, I got hit by a huge bug right in between my eyes with my visor up at about 45 mph once. That hurt like and I tasted bug gut for the next 30 miles even after I pulled over and cleaned it up.

How about an almost:

A couple weeks ago on the way back to I-10 West from farm roads. Cruisin at about 75-80. There was a carcass and 4 vultures on the left sholder. I slowed down to about 50. 3 birds go left. 1 dumbass huge freakin bird goes right. But it's too slow to get out of the way and gain altitude fast enough.!!!

I duct so hard I hit my helmet on my gas tank.

Scared the t out of me!

I was heading down the Beltway under I-10 and someone lost their load of boxes, lots of them (empty thankfully) and all of the foam stuffing and empty boxes were flying up at me, near caused me to lay down when one of the boxes got the front end. I pulled over quickly and rode the shoulder. But like everyone else mainly bugs.....Been stung twice by wasp, someone even pulled over on their bike to help me one time when he saw me jumping up and down on the shoulder (about a year ago). Hurt like ....Thanks if you're on here.

Ok, so I admit this is a noob question, but what do you do to maintain control??? I'm no stranger to pain, but that's not something I've had the pleasure of yet... I know, "give it time..."

as odd as this may sound... I was enjoying my ride down through one of the back roads in Seguine (sp)... I was trying to get around a gooseneck trailer hauling hay bails on a 2 way street so i could regain speed again...

well... apparently there was something in the road and he did a small swurve and a hay bail (square bail) flew off the truck...

I hit it dead on ( i was only about 2 or 3 car lengths back)... luckily it must not of been packed too tightly cause it just exploded when i hit it... but i still bailed into the ditch... bike had some scratches, i had some bruises, but nothing serious...

of course i was chokiing on my heart for the next hour...

this was probably 7 years ago or so...
