interesting how "stunters" is in the title, yet there's absolutely nothing in the article to indicate that there was any stunting going on... should have read "idiot speeders/evaders"

sad that everyone is lumped together.

Hmm, the picture to the left of the guy in white tennis... one foot on the
seat doing a wheelie had no relevance?

The whole article is littered with comments/mentions or problems with stunting on public roads.

sure looked like they guy was stunting in the picture ... plus the article talks about a "nationwide" problem not just local to Los Angeles ... or of just that one single night.

There are few scattered groups in houston that are really reckless. I witnessed one group last weekend. Racing and doing stunts so close to each other and traffic. But it doesn't matter what you try and do about it there will always "those guys" out there. One state actually have two Busa's for their highway patrol bikes. Have nothing against stunters at all. It's just like street racing as long as you can keep it controlled and keep the dumb jack@$$ out of the mix it's fine.

Sounds like a mature policeman:

"Bummer," Lago says. "I hate it when we lose a chase because you know the guy's going (to go) on MySpace and brag he outran the cops.

How about another reason??? Like someone getting kiilled? Is this guy serious? Is he really concerned about the guy bragging on My Space?

Not that I condone running. But it's like "Oooo...I gotta catch him...call the ghetto bird....he might brag on My Space!"
