Thats pretty cool pic.

Remembered years ago there was an article in Roadracing World featuring a rider doin the Aprilia Cup Nationals.Dude was paralized from the waist down, had all the needed controls mounted on his clipons and the cool thing was they let his dad support the bike on the starting grid.Of course he had to start the race in the back of the grid but it was just amazing

Big props to this guy...plus he had a cool attitude!
He wanted to buy my Camera mount from me, when he saw that my camera was mounted on my mirror!
Look on that same day on Deals Gap website (killboy.com)& you will see me & the Busa riding the Dragon as well! (5/13/08)
It was everything & more of what I expected! I will try & post some pics soon!

He was a natural, when he came to a stop he always had the one leg planted for stability! Put the kick stand down, slung his crutches out of their holster, & walked right into the gift shop, like nothing! I guess all on instincts!
He was a big guy too, about 6'3" 275lbs.! I agree...total badass!
We ran into each other in a town (Gatlinburg) @ the Hard Rock Cafe about an hour away from the Dragon! The next night as well & neither one of us was even staying in that town! Small world!
Works them crutches like nothing, when you see him get around! He is an inspiration to everybody that he comes across I'm sure!

I'm surprised the guy isn't wearing a prosthetic.....my brother in law lost both of his legs above the knee in a car accident probably 25 or so years ago. He wears prosthetics all the time, has a tall set with knees and ankles built into it and a short set he calls stubbies that just have feet on the ends of his stubs basically. He's been talking about figuring out a way to ride again now.

Right on! Where there's a will, there's a way. I remember seeing a story one time about a guy in the UK that was missing part of his arm and his leg. He rode with a prosthetic arm and got around pretty well.
