Question Unsure on some gear

I know some of you guys and gals have been riding for a very long time and know what is up about gear so here goes...
I found some really nice looking jackets. Spidi Womens NL 5 Textile Jacket, I like the colors, but I haven't really heard of the company. Also I found a leather jacket by Shift Racing Womens M1 Leather Jacket and Womans Empire Leather Glove. I have heard of Shift but don't know about their quality.
Knowledge about these companies and other ones that make good gear would be very nice to know. Price really doesn't make a difference. Thank you...

both of these products are good, but as they say, get the best that you can afford. if money is no object then go with Dianese or Vanson leather products.

+1, and I would add Komodo to that list.

Shift and Spidi are both good quality.
CarbonJames is correct that Vanson and Dainese are probably top of the line but you would be happy with the others as well.
