Hello Motohouston :)

Hello to all . My name is Vinh and I'm new considering getting a Yamaha R6 and hoping with the help of all the members here my purchasing decisions will made much easier. I currently own a 05 Lexus Is300 and had plans of boosting it ; but unfortunately gas prices has made me reconsider a sportbike. Here are a few pics of my car

Since everybody BESIDES me have a bike lol . What must be done to attain a license? I did my research as well as ask around. The answers I got were go to DMV for reading test and do the safety course there or go to San Jac North for riding course. Does this sound correct?

Yep! Go take the MSF and once you have sucessfully completed it go to the DMV and take the written part!

Edit: Do not buy a bike until you have taken the MSF!

Thanks Candie , I do have some experience from riding my uncle's 2000 R1 in the day. How much is the cost of MSF course and where could I find one around Houston?

I like your idea of getting an R6, but others will tell you start with something more tame.

Welcome to MH

Awesome Cycles is a sponsor here, look for the them under the sponsor section. If you sign up and give them your MH ID it will save you another $30 off the $180 price tag so you'll only be paying $150, well worth it IMO
