STOLEN RC-51

My RC-51 was stolen sometime Thursday 10/13/05 night. It was last seen sometime around 8:00 PM and discovered missing around 2:15 AM.

It is a red/silver 2001 Honda RC-51. Louisiana License plate MC378591.
and VIN number JH2SC45321M101116
Identifying characteristics include stainless steel front brake lines, a chopped up license plate holder (the stock one is a lot lower), missing right side mirror.

It was stolen from out near the Space Center in Houston. Any suggestions on locating it? If you yourself see it please email me-I'd be happy to explain to anybody who has it in their possession my feelings on the subject.

well I have no pictures of mine I can find right now. Though rc51.org should have plenty of links and pictures. I have (dammit I meant had) a red and silver one (not the black).

Identifying characteristics on mine are a scratched left side mirror. The left upper fairing has major scratches on the ridgeline and a crack where it bolts to the side fairing with an attempt at a glue patch.

the left footpeg is actually from a yamaha and it has gp style shift. The right mirror is gone. Both side fairing have holes drilled for frame sliders and black frame sliders were on the bike, the side fairing also have galfer stickers on them low down.

The left exhaust pipe is scratched just at the lower part of the muffler. The rear seat cowl is also majorly scratched from where it flew off at a track day and I had to kick it off track on my next lap around.

Stainless steel front brake lines, carbon lorraine pads though I don't know how you would check those : ).

The rear license plate holder I shortened myself so you should be able to tell that it was a quick job. Though I relocated the light as well in doing it, and the rear reflector. The chain gaurd is gone and it has a new rk chain (not the gold kind). New michelin pilot power front and on the rear a very worn michelin size 190 tire (I actually have a new michelin pilot power 180 sitting here for it)

The front suspension is also set for as much preload as possible with the stock settings (a common RC problem for which you need to buy a spacer to preload the spring for you-giving you your range of adjustment)- these are showa forks.

The bike had just over 25,000 miles on it probably about 25,300-400 though I am not sure.
