new user - hi!

wsup motohouston. i've been browsing this forum for a while now but finally decided to signup. i also need some riders input on the next bike. i'm finally upgrading cuz me and the ex just broke up and now i have some extra cash to blow on bike and noone telling me "no!"

to make the story short, cliffnotes:

23yo
riding for 2+ years on 500cc scooterl
no accidents
clear auto record
kinda heavy handed at time
responsible but something i like to let lose

bike options
08 kawi 10r, 08 cbr1000, 08 gsxr1000, or 08 gsxr750

flame me or help me. your choice. i would like your inputs better.

welcome and enjoy your stay...search this forum for info, most of it has already been talked about and most have said that for a starter bike go with a small, in some cases, possibly a 600 but not bigger...or something like that...i'm too lazy to search at the moment.

Welcome get a 600, it will be faster then your brain can think compared to the scooter..

that being said get a Honda 600RR

although I love my 08 1000RR too !

when you upgrade ... you gonna keep your scoot? Get a ninja 500 or 650, suzuki gs500 or sv650

They are tamer than the 600+cc sport bikes but still a lot of fun and more than enough go go juice to put a smile on your face.

ok you say 500cc scooter - does that mean an actual scooter or are you talking about a motorcycle?

If it's an actual scooter...yeahhhhhh you're either a. going to to kill yourself on a liter bike or b. you're going to drop it.

there's a WORLD of difference between even a 500cc and a 600cc, so I would just move up to the 600. :dontknow: maybe thats just me
