Three this week and the week ain't over

let's be careful out there. Too much of this stuff going down.

Motorcycle death is Houston's third this week

A man who died after his motorcycle hit a curb on an entrance ramp to the Southwest Freeway was the third person killed in motorcycle accidents in Houston this week, police said.

The motorcyclist, whose name was being withheld, was entering U.S. 59 northbound near Fountainview about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when he hit the curb, investigators said.

The Suzuki GSX600 then hit the entrance ramp signal and the driver was ejected.

He was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.

On Tuesday evening, Arnold Holderrieth, 42, was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle when he struck a 14-wheeler on East Houston at Attwater Street, police said.

Holderrieth was traveling north on East Houston and the truck was westbound on Attwater, turning left onto East Houston, when the accident occurred, officers said. They concluded that Holderrieth, who died at the scene, had failed to pass safely.

An accident involving a motorcycle and a car shut down South Loop 610 East for several hours early Monday.

The unidentified motorcyclist was westbound in the 6100 block of the Loop about 1 a.m. when the two vehicles collided. The driver of the car lost control and hit a concrete barrier, knocking over a street light and ejecting the driver onto the eastbound lanes of the freeway. The street light also fell onto the eastbound lanes.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital. A second victim was taken to Ben Taub, police said.

Plus just as many non fatal accidents in the same amount of time from members on the board.

I decided it may be in my best interest to leave the bike at home today. heh.

RIP to the fallen riders.

No suprise.

Statistically at least 1 Motoryclists in Texas will die each day as opposed to 9 cagers per day.

yeah but compare the amount of Motorcyclists to the amount of cages on the road each day... Sobering and it will only get worse as more people think that cycles will help them save money...
