Hello everybody new to the bike thing

Hey everybody, sorry if i am writing a bit weird, but I am kind of buzzing right now. (Don't worry I don't drink and drive or drink and ride) so anyways my name is Fili, and i bought my first bike about a month ago. It is a suzuki sv650s and I love it. Sure i could have gotten something faster, but i wasn't sure if i was ready for something more exotic, so i went with the SV. if i remember, ill try to post some pics tomorrow. Hope to meet a couple of yall, wanted to go to your meet and greet today but I had to work so that blows.

Oh I am 21 years old and will be 22 in june and I go to the University of Houston-Downtown.

Pics, tomorrow.

hey whats up? Cool, I wasn't expecting to get quick responses, but awesome. Yeah, actually I really wanted the Honda CBR, but everybody I spoke to told me to start off with something a little less sportier. When I saw the SV, I kind of knew that this was going to be my first bike. It has a perfect balance looking sporty and at the same time really comfortable. So far, I am really loving it. I really want to enjoy it right now since the weather has not been that bad, because as we know the summer can be pretty rainy and really humid.

The heat lately is killer, when traffic stops, I swear I'm gunna die lol. But that's Houston for ya. I like my ninja 650, it doesn't force me to lean too much as the bars are higher, but I definately have that option if I want, so I know what you mean by balance between sport and comfortable.

Oh well I can crash some other night so, since most of yall are up at this time where are some cool places that yall hang out on a weekly or monthly basis?

I really don't have any friends that have bikes that I can ride with so I don't know much about the hangouts. My ex assistan manager rides a bike but he is always working and he is a family man so he really can't go out late at night.

Yeah I really don't like riding during the day cause traffic is usually heavy around where I live and people don't really know how to drive. I really like riding at night better but it is a bit more dangerous. But yeah I prefer riding at night than the day, plus the hot weather really blows.

When I started learning to ride, I used to aways go out around 10 or 11 as there was no one on the roads and no drunks yet, so I know what you mean, during the day is jsut because stuff is open and there's something to do.
