Helmet everytime whether its around block or across country

Jacket (usually leather unless its 90 plus degrees when i leave then mesh) everytime EXCEPT goin to the store ( which is basically in my neighborhood i hit no major streets and round trip is less than a mile)

Gloves everytime i hate riding without them

Jeans everytime even to the store mentioned above ill change i dont like me bare knees on tank its akward

Shoes im guilty of bball shoes i work for a cable company so its in and out of houses all day so i wear shoes that slip on and off

Knee/shin pads I only wear when im goin to carve some corners and ride hard and usually on group rides cuz you never know with some of the idiots that show up for the big rides

Ear plugs if im goin more than 5 miles (once you wear em cant live without them)

I rode to Galveston one time with just helmet, jacket, gloves and underarmor padded shorts under cargo shorts and tennis shoes. Otherwise it's all that said plus jeans, knee pads and sidi boots.

I have a back protector, leather jacket, gauntlet gloves, smx boots, and a helmet. My bike won't start without all this being in a close proximity. Can't understand it, but it just won't happen.

+1 I'll cruise around my neighborhood for like 5 minutes to get the bike warmed up so I can change the oil and then after to make sure everything sounds right and the bike has oil pressure, etc. I'll just wear sneakers, glasses and whatever I have on. I watch for cars, kids, animals, whatever so I'm not caught off guard. I usually only put along at 25mph or under and there is very little traffic in my hood anyway.

If I'm going out, I'm suited all the way up - jacket, pants, gloves, helmet, ear plugs, riding boots every time.

Same here. Plus I don't feel comfortable without it. It's like not wearing a seat belt.

pshh. I dont wear gear.. I don't plan on crashing

Jacket, Helmet, Gloves, long pants, over-the-ankle leather boots (not riding specific, but I think they're adequate) always. Mesh riding pants on longer trips.

100% of the time helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, and jeans. The only weakness in the whole thing is the jeans, I should be wearing something tougher.
