For me, it's knee pads, jacket, gloves, and helmet at the least everyday!

Well, I ride with: helmet, armored jacket, long pants (usually jeans) boots over the ankle, and armored gloves(short cuff or gauntlet depending on the jacket)
Everytime, no exception. Ive been down three times on the street and the thought of going down without gear really bothers me. Ive made my choice based on my own experiences.

Ive been thinking about some of those A* knee pads.

I wear everything every time. Boots, either leather or Icon canvas pants, backprotector, jacket, gloves, and helmet... everytime. Sometimes I bring a backpack with a change of clothes/shoes, but riding for me is serious business, and I'm not interested in laying in bed bleeding because I left some gear in the closet.

For me boots are essential. I've seen too many people go down, and the first thing to fly off are sneakers. I hate that.

^^well, to be fair, ive done the 'ride around the block' in my neighborhood after airing tires or to warm the chain for lube with maybe just a lid and gloves.

I was behind a cruiser this morning, I think he thought he could loose me(haha) but he had on all his invisable gear bobbing and weaving in traffic...dumbass.

Javie at TM will hook you up or you can always go to cycle gear.
