If you 'HAVE' to move up, <shrug> check out the UJM's/Standards... not quite as bad as the 'trueblood' brethern... but I think Racer X pretty much has it nailed good.

i personally don't see anything wrong with a katana everyone has there own taste. it's a comfortable bike, cheap, and theres so many of them parts are easy to get.

Aren't you gonna save my a$$ here and see what your buddy wants for his . I can wait....

I'm just such an impatient person that I'm gonna keep trying to find something until I do buy one. I'm a female what can I say. Once I'm determined it's like trying to get a train to stop when your only 5 ft in front of it.

take your time learn to ride. and ride it well. ain;t no felling like passing some SS bike in a corner on your "begineer bike" it's a bike, not a pair of shoes, your life will hindge on the decisions you make.

My first was a katana. Like others said, too heavy and slow to respond. The thing choked and died on a corner from a stop sign. I hate carbs. It took me and another guy to lift it back up.

Stop crying and get back to the cruiser threads!
lmao! i've only been an "HD rider" for about 3 weeks, before that i owned about 25 street bikes, road raced professionally, and have logged over 100k in street miles. but yeah, i don't know what i'm talking about. to see my last bike, go look at the january bike of the month. don't attempt to judge me by what kind of bike i ride.

and just like you were stating your opinion, it's MY opinion that you're wrong. just like you are entitled to yours, i'm entitled to mine. i don't see how me stating that imo ur opinion is wrong and ignorant makes me out to be crying.

We have some riders on the forest rides that come from your area. Come out with us. you will appreciate your bike more.... Then you can put off the eagerness to buy something that you may be discouraged with in the near future.

Hardy har har. Funny thing is, I didn't want EITHER color of the 2 bikes before I bought them, but I looked past that and got them anyway b/c really all I care about is how it is going to perform and how it suits me as a rider.

Suzuki's 2006+lineup has made some good looking schemes. Reason being why a MAJORITY of squids ride suzukis! They walk into the dealership and say ewwwww that bike is preeeeeeeety, I wants it

This can be true, however, a lot of people say that as an arguement, but where are all these beginner bikes passing SS at? I would really like to know. I can't ever say I've seen it

you obviously haven't been to the track very often. many times there are sv's, 250's, 500's, and others beating up on some SS .
