Found a bike! What's your opinion?

I just found a bike that I think I'd like to buy. I want to see what opinions you guys have and see if it'll be a good investment.

Suzuki Katana 600. It's a 1999 and has 18, miles on it. Needs some minors done like rear tire, oil change/tune up and brake pads. Asking $2000

What do you guys think?

Not much, been ridin for a few months.

But the "heavy thing" is a factor. I had to pick up my 500 once and that was not an easy lift. ha.

Don't drop it then!!!

Keep that 500 for a while (at least 4-5k) then consider upgrading to an Honda F3, SV650, or something of that nature.

After having the Katana, the gixxer felt like a toy.

Ok, so I just searched the specs on my 500 vs. the kat. and mine is 388 lbs and the kat is 458. So I'm gonna pass on that one.

What do you guys think?
Save your $2000 and take the Katana off you shopping list. Don't ever buy something that's hard to sell or someone has to sell cheap to give away. The Katana 600, 750cc and Ninja 250cc are not worth being in production if you ask for my opinion. Keep looking or find someone that you trust besides this board on the open forum to make decisions for you. It's not us that have to ride and live with what you put in your garage.
