RideSmart Track Day ROLL CALL - 05.26.2008 @ TWS (Texas World Speedway)-College Station, TX

The time is getting close for this excellent event. If you are thinking about it, registrations are open.
To register for this event, go to:
http://ridesmart.info/mm5/merchant.m...y_Code=052608R

There are still spots, but they cannot be guaranteed since we will be capping the numbers off to prevent over booking (those thinking of riding in to register the morning of are urged to reconsider signing up online, since spots will not be guaranteed).

So get'em while they are available, and we will see you all there on Monday (Sunday for those who get there early to settle in).

Wonder how many of you already are coming to this event.

Hey everybody. Count me in.

I was referred here by somebody on TWT. Got a question - it was several years ago since I was last at TWS (Texas World Speedway). I previously stayed at the Manor House Inn for events - it was always rather, um, basic, but I heard that might have gone downhill some recently, despite some renovations. So my question is, what's the consensus on the best place to stay (besides camping ) for a TWS (Texas World Speedway) event these days?

Thanks!

I do my camping at the track, so others will probably be a better source of info for this, but College Station is just a very short distance North of the track. You could always go there and get into any of the motels they have there, for a reasonable price...

in the below link, you should see TWS (Texas World Speedway) at the bottom of the page, and nearby motels marked on the map:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...62549&t=h&z=12

Good luck, and I hope others chime in too.

I've actually been to TWS (Texas World Speedway) many times, just not recently. The Manor House Inn I mentioned is on the south end of town, and I used to stay there all the time. But I'm getting increasing reports that their quality at least hasn't improved, and likely has gone down some. So I'll probably pick a different place to stay this time.

Looking great. Looks like we will have a good turn out on Monday.
Been working with D. to make sure we have a decent turn out (not too many people), and he has been cooperating.

Besides, RideSmart now has nothing but weekend riding, so any of you can ride for the lowest price in TX on any of the excellent tracks.

Did you guys see the package price for June 7/8 weekend?
Saturday is a 3.1mile track. Sunday is a 1.7mile track.
Get the package and pay only $250.00
You can't get this price anywhere in the known universe.

See you guys on Monday.

Is anyone planning on going up to TWS (Texas World Speedway) tonight to camp out? If so would you have room for one more? I can pay for gas if you like. Please let me know.
