Other than Lorenzo's move from 11th to 2nd, which really wasn't all that spectacular since they didn't really show it until he got to 3rd, the race friggin was a snooze fest. Rossi checked out and Edwards held 3rd for just about the whole race.

Can't wait for the next round of WSBK & World Supersport.

I haven't seen the race yet and I'm glad Rossi is back on top but, I hate it when there aren't any good battles.

What happened to Stoner and Pedrosa?

stoner and Hopper both suffered from broken drive chains.

i was very impressed with CE's efforts yesterday, something def went wrong with DP b/c he should have been able to kill CE but glad to see him on the podium steps none the less..

Stoner came in because his motor stopped running, and then could not get the backup bike running.....booo

cough, cough Bridgestone FTW! even on Michelin's home track, that had to sting a little. When Lorenzo is healthy, there will be some good battles up front. I think Rossi certainly has his mojo back, and is confident....a potent combo.

Sucks for stoner, Rossi smoked them easily.

First 5 or 6 laps were awesome then Rossi checked out
that bike looks like it's back on rails again which is bad bad news for everybody else

Next round Italy,
the big No:46 has been on the top step there the last six years

Rossi is back
and Yamaha are back

I enjoyed the race. Considering the people he had to pass, while injured, to get from wayyy back to 2nd, Lorenzo is the "rider of the race" IMO. Rossi looked great again, but Lorenzo is the next up and coming superstar as long as his equipment stays on par with his talents.

Can't wait for the next one!

The fact that Lorenzo has two fractured ankles and other injuries, and able to make up that much ground from behind, and get second place it freaking amazing... he's my new hero!!!

Personal observations:

1. That Ducati is still FAST!
2. Michelin's tires for 2008 are better but the 'Stones still have more grip at the end of the race.
3. Rossi is still the 400 lb Gorilla!
4. Colin is too polite with regard to passing.
5. Jorge will soon be a large thorn in the lion's paw.
6. Pedrosa is a smaller version of Biaggi. Very talented but.....
7. Hopper just has the worst luck.
8. Vermeulen needs a proper bike to ride.
9. Like Hayden, Stoner has more talent than he is given credit for.
10. Hayden will be looking for a ride for 2009.

Amen to that. I kept waiting for him to make a move, but...

Maybe he needs to go back and watch the 2002 WSBK season he won. He made many a aggressive (and not cheap) passes on Bayliss...

Maybe it has to do with confidence in his set-up?

With two back to back great qualifying pole positions and an awesome showing for 3rd place, he should have more then he shows.

He probably just needs to get comfortable again with the pressure from running up front with the big dogs.

I was very happy and surprised at the out come of the race. I love watching Rossi win. Lorenzo IS a beast. I had high hopes for him but never like this. Colin isn't finished.

Did you guys see the power of the Honda?? That bike was pulling hard. I wonder what Nicky's problem is.
