WEAR YOUR HELMETS PEOPLE!!!!!!
3,000+ pounds hitting you at a speed of roughly 40 mph (bike traveling 60.. (speed limit i think - 100 Mph est speed of the car = 40) is going to hurt no matter what, helmet or not.

RIP

"The biker was not wearing a helmet and suffered massive head injuries. Witnesses said the man had a light pulse shortly after the wreck."

Yes, it will no doubt hurt you but the chances of surviving it are much better with a helmet on your head.

close to 10% of motorcycle deaths are from being rear ended. I wish bikes had a ten mph faster speed limit then cars. They would have to have a 30-50 mph faster if we were to match the damage a car can do when it hits something.

A lot of times when I'm riding, I've had the exact same thought. I ride faster so I have a little more control of the situation, sucks that I have to do something illegal to make it happen.

Although, I'd probably prefer a speed limit 10mph slower for cars.. instead of 10mph faster for bikes. With everyone driving with a cell phone in one hand and an iPod in the other, traditional speed limits might not be appropriate anymore.

I really get when I see some in an Excursion with both hands on the ****ing phone TEXT MESSAGING.

never thought of it that way and it would go a long way to solving the fuel crunch.
