My first time on the dirt!!!

Yeah, I know...everyone wants pics. I had a buddy out there taking pics, but they are on his camera and will have to wait a day or two. Anyhow, I had no idea how physically demanding this was. We hit up MX 290, and it was a blast! I was clearing a couple of doubles on the track by days end...(we spent about 4 hours out there)BUT, I dropped the old KX going like 5 mph hour through a turn....I was getting more confident in the bike as I rode it (and tired too!) and I was trying to back it in just a little while rolling on the throttle at the Apex and there she went.... end spun out from under me and here I was laying in the dirt. Nonetheless, picked her up and started her on the first kick (after I caught my breath and took a short break!) All in all it was a good day!

Thanks to Powersports of Houston for getting my new rubber mounted up upon walk-in and Motorcycles Unlimited for getting me a new chain and fork seals (which I fixed a few weeks back)...had a blast out there and am considering selling the GSXR...I have like 2 or 3 good friends about to pick up db's so it kinda makes it more tempting. what to do...we'll see, I still have two LSTD days to cash in on so nothing is happening overnight

Hope to meet some of you folks on here who ride the dirt.

Pics to come....

Nice seeing Jet at PoH too!!!

This is why I purchased the dirt bike (to fulfill my needs in between trackdays, but after one afternoon of riding the dirt I may be selling the GSXR to buy a second dirtbike so I can bring out friends and still have money left over)

most definitely....I'm a big boy so a 125 wasn't gonna cut it.... I did ride a friends Kawi 450 four stroke and that thing was sexy, but WAY too much powa' for me....if I buy a 2nd db, I'm gonna make it a 125 so my old lady can ride (as well as other friends) with me.
