Older Sport bikes - '86 VFR

Am I the only one that is drawn to the older styles? I have been keeping my eye out now that I'm past the initial burden of a new baby, and moving. Well as I search, for some reason the older models are catching my eye. I found an '86 VFR 700 and I am curious. Any input on this model? I know it is gear driven. In decent shape. I am the same way about cars, so maybe it is just me. Is this a mechanically reliable bike?

Older gixxers are cool.

If you wanna get real old, I got a 1975 yamaha rd 350 that I'm in the process of putting back together.

having raced in the 80's, i have deep love for bikes from that era. The 88 VFR 750 is among my favorites, but there is nothing like a Slingshot or an RG500! My first street bike was a Roberts replica RZ 350. Now that bike, when well ridden, put many 750's to shame! My all time favorite is still the 88 FZR 1000 though!

Ive seen an '89 team yoshimura slingshot 750 whip the off of numerous newer sportbikes.

It was up for sale, but I didn't had 30,000 to blow
